Returns & refunds

This policy applies to physical books purchased from financeStartbk Ltd (166 Brick Lane, London, E1 6RU, United Kingdom). It is a customer-facing summary; statutory rights under UK consumer law are not limited by this page.

If something is wrong with your order — wrong edition, damaged in transit, or missing item — tell us as soon as you can. We will always try to put it right before asking you to post anything back.

Return window

You may return unused books in resaleable condition within 30 days of delivery. Please include your order reference and a short note so we can match your parcel quickly.

Change-of-mind returns must reach us before the window closes; we go by the date we receive the parcel, so allow time for postage.

Condition

Items must be unmarked, with no missing pages or water damage. If an item arrives faulty or not as described, contact us first — we will arrange a replacement or refund at our cost where appropriate.

We may refuse a refund if a returned book cannot be resold at full price because of wear, writing, or missing inserts that were present when we shipped it.

Return postage

For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for return shipping unless we state otherwise in writing. If we sent the wrong item or it was defective, we will reimburse reasonable standard postage or provide a prepaid label where available.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible, usually within 5–10 business days after we receive and inspect the return. PayPal and card refunds may take an extra day or two to appear on your statement.

If you used a promotional discount, your refund reflects the amount you actually paid. Exchanges are subject to stock availability; if a title is out of print, we will offer a refund or store credit.

How to start a return

Email [email protected] with your order number, the book title, and whether you prefer an exchange or refund. We will reply with the return address and any shipping label we can provide.

Pack books securely in a rigid mailer or box so corners do not crush in transit; include a note inside the parcel with your email address in case the outer label smudges.
